Ode to the Rivers — Gala of Song, Dance & Poetry

Co-presented by the Beijing Chamber of Commerce in Australia and Sunshine Arts, produced by the Sydney Chinese Artist Association, with script and direction by Xu Dong. The gala premiered on 9 June 2024 at The Concourse, Chatswood.

Through chorus, dance, solo and ensemble pieces, and poetry, the program weaves together “Ode to the Yangtze” and “Love of the Yellow River,” opening with children reciting Tang poetry and building to a full-stage celebration of China’s great rivers and shared heritage among overseas Chinese.

The organising committee invites audiences to share in this cultural journey celebrating homeland, memory, and artistic excellence.
